Tasty Top Cake Pops – Fun & Easy, Really!
I saw the Tasty Top Cake Pops advertised on TV a few weeks back and thought that would be perfect for my thirteen year old daughters birthday party. So I bought them. I ordered the “Buy one get one free” offer and have absolutely loved making these Tasty Top cake pops.
I am not sure why they call them Tasty Top Cake Pops because they are not on the top of any cakes. I use them instead of making cakes.
Actually, what I decided to do was to make a batch of Tasty Top Cake Pops before the party to see if they really worked and if they were easy to make. My daughter Rachel and I whipped up a batch of our favorite chocolate cake mix, poured it into the cake pop molds, snapped on the mold top and put them into the oven to bake. A few minutes later we pulled them out and let them cool before we took off the top.
The little cake top pops turned out perfect! Rachel and I looked at each other and we both said, “Let’s decorate them!” We then spent the rest of the time laughing and having a great time coming up with different designs and ways to frost and decorate them. That is when she came up with the idea to bake and decorate the Tasty Top Cake Pops for an activity at her birthday party. That turned out to be one of the most fun things we have ever done at a party.
We had several fun activities planned for Rachel’s party but as the girls started coming over they were hanging around the kitchen chatting and they noticed the cake pops, bowls of colored frosting, sprinkles and decorating items and got all excited about making the Tasty Top Cake Pops. They had an absolutely fun time coming up with wild and crazy ways to decorate the cake pops. I wish I had taken pictures of all of the fun ways they decorated them to include with this post.
I thought that they had so much fun decorating the cake pops that they were not going to want to eat them. Boy was I wrong. They devoured them like crazy. This may sound a little weird but they pretended they were Zombies and ate their animal and people cake pops with attitude and loved every minute of it. But even with their enthusiasm about eating their new creations they all kept at least one to take home and show to their mothers because they wanted to have their mothers order the Tasty Top Cake pop forms too.
We never did get around to all the other fun games and activities we had planned. We just had a blast enjoying decorating the cake pops and laughing together.
I can see where you could use these Tasty Top Cake Pops for Christmas, Halloween and all kinds of fun get togethers. Who needs TV, the movies, IPods, IPhones or Wii to have fun when you have Tasty Top Cake Pops! We had great fun without electronic devices.
I don’t know if the special Tasty Top Cake Pops “buy one get one free” offer is still available. But if it is I’d definitely recommend you order some before the special offer goes away.
